Mens Premiers & Reserves squad pre-Christmas training
Players who are interesting in trialling for the Premier and Reserves teams are invited to non-compulsory early season training each Tuesday night for 4 weeks commencing 25th November. Players should arrive and be warmed up to commence at 7.30pm. Other senior teams will commence training on 6th January.
Premier Mens players re-sign for 2009
Souths’ Premier Mens coach Steve Glockner has quickly moved to consolidate on the successes of 2008 by getting the signatures of the majority of the side already.
Player’s Player Ben Evans was amongst the early signings, as was FBI Gold Medal winner David Parra, along with Seamus McAnelly, Troy Barrett, Dean McKillop, Daniel Connor, Cody Shorter, Jake Shorter, Adam Read, Chris Bravo, Nat Gork, Liam Purves, Jaspal Benning and Andrew Skehan.
Steve said that for the first time in a number of years, we anticipate going into a new season with some real continuity in the player ranks, as the Premier team could field a full side of regular 1st team players from 2008.
FIELD CLOSURE
Please note that all fields are closed to training until late November at least. Dates for commencement of pre-season training will be advised shortly. All fields are now undergoing extensive off-season renovation and must get a couple of months' break to rejuvenate.
